I'm pleased to say I have just been given some more orchestrating for the London Sinfonietta gig at Dubai. I have to orchestrate the United Arab Emirates National Anthem! It will be a busy week.

Yesterday I spent most of the day at BBC Studio 1 at Maida Vale, listening to the awesome London Sinfonietta rehearse and record the material for the DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre) Suite, including my own contributions to it. I'm pleased to say the seeion went well: it was really good to meet and work with Harry Escott and Molly Nyman, and it was good to see the orchestrator David Butterworth at work: what a pro!

Andrew is a composer of unusual versatility: he is as equally at home writing musicals, pop songs and jazz as he is composing contemporary classical music, or writing and orchestrating scores for film and television. Andrew has released two CDs with 33jazz record label and is working on a third. Recent work includes orchestration for the Spice Girls world tour and a range of film and television scores, including the Golden Globe nominated film A Mighty Heart, starring Angelina Jolie, directed by Michael Winterbottom.
