Fisher on Myspace

Just to let you know that I now have a "Myspace" site where you can listen to a few of my recordings. Apparently this is the thing to do these days - although it is all a little beyond me!

You can look at the site here.

Teaching Award

Teaching Award

I just found out last night that I have received a teaching award from Southampton University - it's called the Vice-Chancellor's Teaching Award in the School Humanities for 2006. I think it's mostly for the Songwriting course I devised this year. Wow! Very exciting and feel very pleased and honoured.

Jazzed Tales at Greenwich

Jazzed Tales at Greenwich

Whew! Following a busy week of workshopping and lots of late night re-writes, we have now just had both performances this last week. I have given myself a few days to reflect on them am v pleased with what Mitchell Moreno (director) and Kelvin Thomson (MD) have pulled off. The cast were amazing on both nights: v talented but also really friendly and funny people - a really good group dynamic.

The audience were invited to submit written feedback on
a questionaire... we'll see what they say, and I can't help but vacillate between optimism and dread.
